Win a Kix By Katie, this revolutionary new invention eliminates what Katie has affectionately dubbed the Heel Wedgie—this is when your pants get bunched up between your foot and shoe, a frequent wardrobe malfunction that occurs when women wear long pant with open back shoes.

Best Things in Beauty has a fabulous giveaway contest to celebrate Bobbi Brown’s live Twitter Q&A on January 12.
The palette contains exclusive shades of two Long-Wear Cream Shadows in Dove Grey (a matte taupe) and Honey Glaze (warm, pearly beige) for soft neutral eyes, two Long-Wear Gel Eyeliners in Mahogany Ink (dark ashy brown) and Black Topaz (black chestnut with golden pearl) to turn up the intensity, and a double-ended brush. Charlestongirl loves this palette because each color item inside has its own little cap to keep it fresh. The shades are “everywoman” colors.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you know just how hot Denim Leggings are right now. Whether you call them “jeggings” or not, this fashion style is here to stay, and to help you get your hands on a fabulous pair is the new brand Robb & Hugo!
Here’s a little background on the designer and the brand:
Robb & Hugo is named after the creator’s two biggest inspirations, her husband and son. The designer, Angela Kim began her love for fashion at the age of 7, learning to sew her first skirt from her mother. From that point on she knew that one day she would have her own collection.
Kim graduated from Purdue University and attended the Fashion School of Technology in NYC. She designed in the industry for 12 years before launching her own contemporary line Robb & Hugo, with her husband in 2008. After the birth of her son, Kim decided to revolve her collection around colorful, soft and luxurious knits. With her fabrication choice, comes complete comfort and movement. Details like ruching on the side of her tees and dresses along with using color blocking, allows each silhouette a more slimming appearance.
The Robb & Hugo collection, from choosing the fabrics through every last stitch on the label will always proudly be produced in the USA.
Let’s start with the basics: these are a simple, yet extremely flattering pair of black denim-styled leggings. They’re a standard fit (I’m wearing an Extra Small below, and it fits well) and offer quite a bit of stretch in the sizing. Additionally, they’re a great length… wearing these with heels meant that I didn’t even need to cuff the bottoms.
Because they’re a heavier weight and designed to look like a pair of jeans, these really could be worn without a tunic, but that’s a personal preference. I wore mine with a longer sweater to balance it out and was extremely comfortable.
The only major change I’d make with these would be to taper the ankle a little more… as you can tell in the photo, they don’t really hug your ankle the way a standard legging would. But they’re a fabulously comfortable, go-to pair of leggings that really feel like they transcend the “trendy” look of most denim leggings!
Comfort should be my middle name, because I could live in these. Having to send them back was a terribly heartbreaking experience… and it’s one that, if you win, you’ll NEVER have to go through.
WIN IT!

Good luck! This contest will run through the week and will end on January 18, 2010. Enter now!
Love,
JP

Handmade blog Miss Malaprop is giving away a Memoirs Of A Geisha Corsage Cuff Bracelet, handmade by Lee of Color Me Conscious.
Designer Lee Dorsey is a busy lady: she’s a public school French teacher in New Jersey by day and a self-taught jewelry designer by night. She crafts earrings, necklaces, brooches and “corsage cuffs” and donates a portion of each item sold in her shop, Color Me Conscious, to charity.
For January and February, she’s designed what she calls her “RED” collection, and she will be donating to The American Heart Association for the sales of these items, since red is the official color of heart disease awareness and prevention. Lee has generously offered to do a giveaway of one of my favorite pieces from her RED collection, this Memoirs Of A Geisha Bracelet.
All you need to do is visit the Color Me Conscious Etsy shop and comment on the original post on Miss Malaprop with a link to your favorite piece in the shop. The deadline for all entries is midnight on Friday, January 22, 2010. This particular giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.
